ATELIER SNU by PAN MATERAC hosted a special event to inaugurate a new space dedicated to mindful rest, thoughtful interior design, and quality sleep. The opening provided an opportunity for experts from various fields to meet, discuss the needs of modern people, and learn about the concept behind a place where sleep is no longer treated solely as a matter of choosing a mattress or bed. ATELIER SNU is intended to be a space for experience, inspiration, and conversation about how to consciously create conditions conducive to regeneration.
The Architecture of Sleep – When Interiors Help You Relax
Tired of the World—On the Need to Pause
The second day of the opening focused on the issue of being overwhelmed by the modern lifestyle. Following a presentation of the Atelier concept and discussions about good interior design, participants once again had the opportunity to explore the showroom during the “Journey Through the Atelier.”
The special guest that evening was Dorota Wellman—a journalist, columnist, and commentator on contemporary society. In her talk, “On Overstimulation, Haste, and the Art of Everyday Regeneration,” she addressed the growing number of stimuli, pressures, and the fast pace of daily life. The event served as a starting point for reflecting on how to find space for rest in a world that constantly urges us to be active.
A Scientific Approach to Regeneration
The third day of the event offered a scientific perspective on sleep. Participants learned about the concept of ATELIER SNU, had the opportunity to discuss good interior design and tour the exhibition, and then attended a lecture titled “Regeneration That Works: A Scientific Approach to Nighttime Rest.”
The special guest was Dr. Aleksandra Karykowska, M.D., from the Institute of Good Sleep—a chronotherapist, CBT-I insomnia therapist, and sleep expert. Her presentation offered a perspective on nighttime rest through the lens of knowledge about how the body functions and the mechanisms responsible for effective regeneration. Thus, the topic of sleep was presented not only as a lifestyle element but also as an essential foundation for health and daily functioning.
ATELIER SNU – a space for meetings, experiences, and inspiration
The opening program was designed so that each of the three evenings would explore the theme of rest from a different perspective—through architecture and design, reflections on contemporary lifestyles, and scientific knowledge. An important element of each event was the “Tour of the Atelier,” which allowed participants to explore the space and the solutions available in the showroom.
The opening of ATELIER SNU by PAN MATERAC thus demonstrated that a conscious choice of the place and conditions for rest can be part of a broader approach to quality of life. The combination of design, expert knowledge, and the opportunity to experience the exhibition firsthand creates a space where one can not only discuss good sleep but, above all, better understand its significance. Each evening concluded with the presentation of gifts to the participants, serving as a symbolic culmination of the inauguration of this new space dedicated to the art of mindful rest.
